Assistant Principal

Hello Everyone,

I am Cory A. Terry, your assistant principal.  It is a privilege to be accepted into the ENSA community.  I am a Greenville native that graduated from Hillcrest High School. I received a BA from Erskine College in Psychology and Christian Education.  After Erskine, I was employed with the Boys Home of the South in various capacities (as a counselor, supervisor, treatment coordinator, and a program director) for almost seven years in residential care for the ages of six to twenty one.  While I was there, I entered the district through substituting.  I substituted for over five years for grades K-12.  During this time, I was introduced to the MAT program and procured that degree from Clemson University. I taught as a substitute and then a full time teacher at Tanglewood Middle School for 15 years.  During my teaching career at Tanglewood, I received the Golden Apple Award and Teacher of the Year. After several years of teaching, I returned to Clemson to attain an EdS degree in 2012.  I served at West Greenville School as an Administrative Assistant and West Greenville Middle School Alternative Program as Coordinator.

I have a wonderful and vivacious wife of over 25 years; she is a cosmetologist, make-up artist, and jewelry designer.  To our union, we have an adopted son that is now married with two daughters, two more young adult sons, and a daughter.  I enjoy the movies and physical fitness. I have a fond admiration for the arts and a love of music and singing.  I am a very student-centered and staff supportive administrator.  Two of my educational concentrations are cultural relevant pedagogy and developing healthy relationships.  I am passionate about life and education, especially our present and future generations.

I am looking forward to a wonderful year at East North Street Academy.
