Sign up Friday October 26-Wednesday October 31 in the Cafeteria or come by Mrs. Susie’s room to sign up. Rules for Costume Day: Follow Blue Ridge High Dress Code. No face mask or paint etc. that covers your face completely. Teachers and Administrators must be able to recognize each student.

BRHS Book Club
BRHS Book Club will meet on October 18th and 25th during iTime due to our missed meeting last week. Be sure to have your passes with you.
Tickets for the Buff Puff buyout (Thursday 4th block) and the morning hangout (Friday 1st block) will be sold Tuesday through Thursday at lunch ONLY. Not buyout tickets will be sold after that.

BR Finished 3rd in the Upper State yesterday. Top 8 teams advance. The Upper State was played at the Preserve @ Verdae. The Girls will be making there 2nd straight State Finals Trip.

Congrats Girls Tennis!
The Girls' Tennis Team beat Travelers Rest yesterday 5 to 2. Winning singles matches were: Amanda Harris, Natalie Cannon, and Lauren Wilbanks. Winning doubles matches were Amanda Harris and Kaycee Gibson and Fiona Baulo and Addy Jodon. The Tennis Team will play their last match of the season on Tuesday against Greer.

2018 College Fair RECHEDULED
Attention Juniors and Seniors: The 2018 Greenville County College Fair at TD Convention Center is this Thursday, October 18th. This was rescheduled from September 17th. All juniors will be attending along with seniors who signed up previously. We will be leaving Blue Ridge High at approximately 9:30 am and returning around lunch time. You should have received flyers in homeroom previously about what colleges will be in attendance. Orange sheets are in the cafeteria and outside of the Guidance office with bus assignments.
AM Bonds Students- should stay in the cafeteria instead of going to Bonds that morning. All Junior AM Bonds will be excused for the morning.
Additionally, on Thursday, October 18th, the college fair will be open to the public from 5:30 – 7:30 pm. This will include beneficial seminars for students and parents from 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm. There is no registration required and no cost to attend the event on Thursday evening. Students and parents may visit the College Fair website at www.greenvillecountycollegefair.org for additional information.
The Blue Ridge Varsity Cheerleaders brought home a first place win from their competition this past Saturday!
Come out this Saturday, October 20th to support them at the Dorman Cavilier Cheer Classic at 3:00!

FINE ARTS CENTER VISITATION REVISED DATE
Students interested in the Fine Arts Center for the 2019-2020 School year, there will be a Fine Arts Center Information Session at Blue Ridge HS on Thursday, November 8th at 2:45 pm in the Media Center Conference room. This will be an opportunity for prospective students to find out about the application/audition process for the Fine Arts Center. Details about the1:30-3:20 high school visitation day on November 15th will also be discussed. Sign up in Guidance!!!
Herff Jones junior Rings -make ups
If you haven’t already ordered your BRHS class room, it’s not too late! Representatives of the Herff Jones company will be here on Tuesday, October 23rd, from 8:00 – 8:40 am, in the cafeteria to take Class Ring Orders. Down payments start at $60. Down payments may be made by money order, cashier’s check, cash, credit card or check. Any junior or senior who has not ordered their class ring may do so at this time also. Extra ring packets are available in the office. Thank you!
Congratulations Mason Hand!
Mason Hand is participating in the USSYP $10,000 scholarship competition and scored within the top 30 scores on the exam portion. Every high school in the state participates, and he is moving on to the second portion of the competition – the essay and digital presentation. Pretty exciting!
