Greenville County Schools FANS Summer Feeding Update
Greenville County Schools’ Food and Nutrition Services will participate in the Seamless Summer Food Service Program. Nutritionally balanced meals will be provided to all children regardless of race, color, sex, disability, age, national origin, or reprisal and retaliation for civil rights activity, during summer vacation when school breakfasts and lunches are not available. All children 18 years old and younger are eligible for meals at no charge. All meals must be consumed on-site, except at designated curbside pickup locations. Last Day of School and Early Dismissal Time
The school year is winding to a close. The last day of school is Friday, May 22. The last three days of school are half days with early student dismissal. On May 20, 21, & 22, students dismiss at 11:45 AM.
Greenville Alternative Teacher Education (GATE) Program is Accepting Applications for the 2026-2027 School Year
The GATE program is a three-year, district-based, job-embedded, alternative certification program. GATE provides authentic teaching experiences with supportive mentoring and coaching. Greenville County Schools is currently seeking candidates who are interested in teaching math, science, social studies, business, special education, English, French, Spanish, elementary, early childhood, music, art, dance, and drama. To be considered for the GATE program, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or higher with a major or emphasis in the teaching area of interest. Applications are being accepted NOW!
