Hundreds of people and their pets in Greenville County go hungry everyday.  Because of that, the students and staff of Riverside Middle School have taken on a very special assignment for the first Service Project of the year.   

RMS is working with Greer Community Ministry and Meals on Wheels for this very special project.  Greer Community Ministry is a local charity that provides food for families in need and Meals on Wheels delivers food to people and their pets who are unable to get out. 

Since both of these charities are extremely low on food next week (September 22-26) we are asking students, parents and staff to bring in canned goods and pet food to support these two worthy charities.

Please drop off any canned goods or pet food in the marked boxes as you arrive at school next week.  Let’s show those in need that Riverside Middle School cares about Man and His Best Friend.

Suggested Canned Goods: soup, vegetables, canned meats, evaporated milk, fruit, pasta meals, etc...

Suggested Pet Foods: Canned or dry food for cats and/or dogs.
