Television to VCR Hookup

There are two general ways to connect a VCR to a television. Depending on the available connections will determine which way is possible. Often either method is available, depending on the equipment.
  1. Through a standard coax cable with an "F" end can be Push-on or standard screw-mount :

Uses only one cable but is faster to connect ---------->

Special Note: On some older VCR's one or more of these video or audio outputs may be a plug type called a BNC plug. (click for an illustration) These plugs require a different cable end but are connected in the same manner. For the cable or an adapter to use with the normal video/audio cable, contact your Media Specialist or Technology Coordinator. Either the cable or adapter can be purchased at most local electronics stores such as Radio Shack.
