6th Grade
Art is a class for both students who are skilled in art and students who
believe they have no "talent." Students in this class learn a wide
variety of techniques and methods:  from drawing portraits to painting
landscapes; from creating pottery to learning about famous artists and
their techniques.

Band and Strings may be selected by students who have an interest
in instrumental music and who furnish their own instruments.

Sixth grade students who don't take band or strings will take General
Music.

General Music students use instruments, dance, and movement to
explore their musical interests and abilities.
Music is a semester-long course taken with Physical
Education
all year and Art one semester.
