Remember your special someone this Valentine's Day!

Through Valentine's Day, PTA will be selling some special goodies. You can purchase a loveable, snuggable bear with a lollipop for $5.00, a box of candy with a rose for $5.00, or a lollipop only for a $1.00. Think of those special folks you would like to remember this holiday!

TAKE THE BOX TOP CHALLENGE     

Gateway's PTA is sponsoring a school wide Box Top collection challenge. Beginning Jan. 17, bring in your Box Tops. Please place them in sandwich bags. Just make sure you include your teacher's name so that your grade level gets credit. The grade who brings in the most Box Tops will receive a popcorn and movie party! The teachers of the winning grade will receive 6,000 points to select item(s) from the Labels For Education catalog. Box Tops will be collected weekly and the school leader will be posted on Mondays. SO GET TO CUTTING, this challenge will end February 17!

Seven Habits of Happy Kids: February

Our habit for the month of February is Seek First to Understand...Then To Be Understood..We can achieve this by:

• listening to other people's idea and feelings.
• trying to see things from their point of view.
• listening without interrupting.
• sharing my opinions and ideas.

Valentine Dance
PTA will be hosting a Valentine dance on Friday, Feb. 10th in the Gateway Gym. K4-3rd grade will be from 5-6:30. An adult chaperone is required to attend for this age. 4th and 5th will be from 2:45 - 4:45. The cost for this dance will be $5.00 in advance and $6.00 at the door. There is no fee for adult entry to the dance. We will have a photo booth, hair feathers, cookies and soda, and face painting. Each booth activity costs $1.00. Valentine bears, suckers, and roses will be for sale for $5.00.
