Reaching Higher at Greenville County Schools! At Gateway Elementary, we are celebrating GCS as one of the first school districts in South Carolina to earn the 90-90-90 milestone by surpassing 90% in all three major achievement areas: reaching a 92.2% Graduation Rate for the Class of 2026, 90.5% of the graduating class earning College/Career Ready status, and 98.9% of Greenville County schools rated Excellent, Good, or Average on the State Report Card. In honor of America's 250th Birthday, students in grades Pre-K through 12 are invited to participate in this district wide celebration through poetry, speech, song, dance, artwork, photography and essay! America 250 Coordinators are assigned at each school. Deadline for students to enter is October 30.
Do you plan on volunteering or chaperoning on field trips? If so, Greenville County Schools has implemented additional security checks for school volunteers. All volunteers must submit an online application to the district and receive clearance from the district before volunteering or chaperoning any school field trips.
All Greenville County Schools are now utilizing a new online payment system called School Cash/Online. Parents will use this web-based payment system to purchase various items pertaining to their student(s) throughout the school year with the exception of cafeteria funds. Cafeteria funds can still be added through the MySchoolBucks app. All other school related purchases such as field trips, field day shirts, yearbooks, fundraisers, etc. may be purchased through the School Cash/Online system. Parents are encouraged to create an account and add their students. As each school creates items pertaining to individual students or grades it will be visible to the parent to make the purchase.
