After reading Grandfather Tang's Story: a tale told with tangrams by Ann Tompert, Mrs. Jones' 2nd grade class made tangrams.
Tangrams are ancient Chinese puzzles.. A tangram begins with a square, which is cut into seven standard pieces. When creating a picture, all seven pieces must be used; they must touch, but may not overlap.
