"Frederick" Collages

 After
studying
the
books and illustrations of Leo Lionni, our
first graders became illustrators and created their own illustrations based on
his Caldecott Honor book, Frederick.
Leo Lionni began his career as a children’s author / illustrator at the
age of 49 when he made up a story, Little Blue and Little Yellow, to
entertain his grandchildren on a very long, dull train trip.
Since then, he has written and illustrated more than 30 books.
