Cafeteria received a 100% Steritech Audit
Cherrydale Elementary Cafeteria
received a 100% Steritech Audit. Steritech is a third party food safety
auditing company that provides a more in-depth food safety inspection than DHEC
can provide. FANS has a very stringent food safety plan. Steritech provides
the knowledge and expertise to insure that each school is following the plan and
assists in providing additional training if needed.

Greenville County’s Leaders in Learning and Liberty
Administrative Assistant of the Year
On
Thursday May 25, 2006 the Greenville County School District held its annual
Salute to Education banquet at the Palmetto Expo Center. Cherrydale’s own
Mr. Joseph Stowe was selected as Greenville County’s Leaders in Learning and
Liberty Administrative Assistant of the Year. Mrs. Scarlet Black, Principal,
nominated Mr. Stowe for this honor, which is presented by TIAA-CREF. After
learning that he had been selected, keeping the honor a secret from him became a
challenge for Mrs. Black. Mr. Stowe was very surprised at the announcement of
his name. Mr. Stowe received an award along with a check for $500 which he
plans to use to return to school. The school also received a check for $500.
Congratulations Mr. Stowe.
