Preparing students who are College- and Career-Ready is an important responsibility of Greenville County Schools and the State of South Carolina. We want to ensure that all students have the skills necessary to pursue future education or begin a career after high school. In late March 2020, students in their third year of high school were scheduled to participate in WIN Learning’s Ready to Work (R2W) career readiness testing program. However, due to school closures, students did not have the opportunity to take this assessment. Therefore, all students in their fourth year in high school will take the Ready to Work assessment during the fall testing window.
The R2W test consists of four multiple choice timed tests – Applied Mathematics, Reading for Information, Locating Information, and Essential Soft Skills. The R2W tests measure real world skills that employers believe are critical to job success. Students may earn WIN’s Ready to Work credential and an Essential Soft Skills credential, which are recognized by businesses and industries nationwide.
Students who are in their fourth year of high school are scheduled to participate in the WIN Ready to Work assessments between October 19-November 13.
