A Very Big "Thank You" to Bi-Lo!!

Monday, October 4th was our PTSA Open House and Market Fresh Program. We had a wonderful turn out of parents, grandparents, aunt, uncles and students.

Thank you to Bi-Lo on Church Street for providing all of our wonderful fruits, vegetables and so much more to make this event a huge success. It was wonderful to see so many children excited about eating healthy and parents to help encourage this healthy choice.

A special thank you to Coach Stovall, Judy Wynn, Lee Cook, and the CATCH team for the CATCH skit and song. Also, thank you to Jill Gibbs and our team of "farmers" for working the Welcome Farmer's Market.

Our wonderful staff of teachers were ready for parents and students to visit classrooms. Our hallways were filled with students' work and teachers presented to parents how their classrooms operate during the school day.

We are Reading at Welcome Elementary

Our students had summer reading to complete while they were on vacation. Many students completed their READO cards to show what they read over the summer. To celebrate, students were treated to an ice cream party, goodies and books.

Our Book Fair was a huge success this year. Many parents attended our Family Literacy Night and purchased books for their children. All were treated to milk and cookies. We also had a special guest...Clifford, the Big Red Dog! Thank you to everyone who made the night a huge success.
