Dear Welcome families,
I have worked in the Greenville County School District for thirteen years – eight years as a classroom teacher and four years as a Title I Facilitator. I recently graduated from Clemson University with my Educational Specialist degree in School Administration. I have extensive experience in building relationships with families and communities. Over the past five years, I lead summer camps and extended day programs that provided students with additional reading and math assistance. Students enrolled consistently showed an increase in their reading and math test scores in the fall of each year. I have successfully organized Dr. Seuss/Read Across America Day, Back To School Bashes, and Operation Success which involved making connections with numerous community partners, parents, and local businesses that have built relationships to enhance parent and family engagement.
I press forward each day with the mindset - “Success is your Destination! Today is your tool. How will you use it to reach your destination?” I am a cheerleader for teachers and staff, as well as an advocate for children and families. I believe that building relationships are vital to anyone’s success in life because it truly “takes a village” to reach goals and to reach your destination. In my free time, I enjoy networking, shopping, exercising, reading inspirational and motivational books, watching television, attending outdoor concerts, sleeping, and spending quality time with friends and family.
