This is Mr. Gratton’s second year as the Strings Director at Woodmont High School. He also teaches Strings at Woodmont Middle School. Mr. Gratton and his wife moved to Greenville in 2011 from Knoxville, Tennessee after working on his Master of Music degree in Cello Performance at the University of Tennessee. He attended the University of South Carolina where he earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Cello Performance. Since moving to Greenville, the Gratton family has expanded with the addition of a son, Max who is 2 1/2 years old. Mr. Gratton can also be seen teaching cello and bass with the Greenville County Youth Orchestras, teaching cello at Anderson University, and performing with symphonies, quartets, and solo throughout the state of South Carolina.
