Paris Elementary PTA

Welcome to Paris!

The PTA at Paris is an active participant in the education of children at Paris.  We volunteer in classrooms, assist teachers in preparing materials for instruction, and raise money to fund special things.  Mr. Wise describes us as "legendary" because of our history of involvement in the school.

The "P" in PTA stands for "Parent," and your children need you to be involved.  Everyone can be involved in some way - if you have thirty minutes, half a day, or all week!  Paris is a warm, friendly school, and we want you to feel welcomed and connected.  The more parents are involved, the stronger Paris is as a school, and the better it will be for our children.

To find your niche, contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Mrs. Kristin Whitehead (E-mail or 884-4797) or one of our 2018-2019 PTA Officers listed below.  We would love to hear from you, and we look forward to working alongside you for the betterment of our children at Paris!

Reflections

DUE DATE FOR REFLECTION ENTRIES EXTENDED UNTIL OCTOBER 23, 2017!

The Reflections Program provides the opportunity for students to use their artistic talents in six different categories. This year's theme is "WITHIN REACH." Students compete in two groupings - Kindergarten-Second Grade and Third-Fifth Grade. Students can enter multiple times and in multiple categories. Each entry requires a separate Student Entry Form (see link below). Winners are identified at the school level and go on to the District PTA competition with those winners going on to the State PTA competition.

Reflection "Tips"

-Concentrate on the artist statement; in case of a tie, the entry with the stronger statement wins.
-Do not put names on the front of any entry.  Put names on the back.
-Review all rules before submitting entries.
-You may enter more than once, but each entry needs an entry form.
-Entries are due Monday, October 17, 2017.
-Have fun and good luck!
