I've run the OBX Half Marathon twice, the Spinx RunFest Half Marathon 3 times, the Greer Earth Day Half Marathon, the GHS Swamp Rabbit Half Marathon, the Marine Corps Marathon, and I'm training for the Chicago Marathon. I started running 8 years ago to be healthier and to lose some weight. I signed up for my first 5k in 2007, and didn't even know how far it was! From there, I was addicted to running, and decided to challenge myself with a half-marathon. Last year, I decided to run the Marine Corps Marathon because my running group was running it, and because it was the ultimate challenge for me. I love the way running makes me feel, I love how I feel when I beat a previous time for a certain distance in a race, and I love the sights I get to see along the way.
