Superintendent Dr. Burke Royster recently announced Greenville Federal Credit Union as the 2022 Greenville County Schools Partner of the Year at the Salute to Education banquet. This award was created to recognize and affirm organizations, groups, or individuals who are making a significant positive impact on our ability to fulfill the school district’s mission. This impact is seen through volunteer time, financial contributions, in-kind donations, or other collaborative supports to students, schools, or the district as a whole.

“Greenville Federal Credit Union was founded by teachers to serve educators and the community. That tradition of service and support to education is evident by the investment Greenville Federal Credit Union has made to promote financial literacy to students through The Branch location at Greenville High and their ongoing efforts to highlight the important work by district employees through multiple recognition programs,” says Dr. Burke Royster. “It is for this reason, and with great pleasure, that we announce GFCU as our official 2022 Partner of the Year. Thank you, Greenville Federal Credit Union, for the longstanding partnership and all the things you do on behalf of our students, teachers, and community.”

Founded by teachers in 1968, Greenville Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial institution that serves its members and works to enable individuals and communities to prosper. GFCU continually seeks ways to support Greenville County Schools teachers, staff, and students and celebrates their achievements by partnering on Teacher of the Year, Emerging Teachers of the Year, Employee Spotlight, the Salute to Education banquet, the Golf Scholarship Tournament, and much more. With a mission to support education, GFCU is most proud of its student-run branch location inside Greenville Senior High Academy, which not only educates students but also provides hands-on training and valuable workforce skills. GCS is proud to have Greenville Federal Credit Union as its 2022 Partner of the Year!
