Greenville County Schools is hiring bus drivers and bus aides to be everyday heroes for 27,000 students.

Benefits include health and dental, retirement, sick leave, and free life insurance for employees who work 30 or more hours per week. Training is provided. New employees who drive 45 school days will receive a $450 bonus.

“They love kids, I don’t think any driver or aide does it for the money, they do it because they love kids,” said GCS Director of Transportation Adam James.  “This is not a glamorous job, but it is one that makes a difference.”

If you are interested in working at a job where you can impact the lives of children, improve the quality of our community and receive great benefits, we encourage you to apply.

“We have learned over the years that school bus drivers are the most remembered people in the school system because they are the first employees children see in the morning and the last they see at the end of the day,” said Bus Supervisor Zena Graham.

Bus Supervisor Roni Broulliard said, “You are not just driving them to and from school, you are caring for them.”
