Educator Recognized for Input on Teacher Effectiveness
Sterling School Spanish teacher Liz VanDommelen was randomly selected as the winner of a Staples gift card, courtesy of the GCS Board of Trustees. Her name was drawn from all respondents in a recent teacher survey conducted by the Superintendent and School Board of Trustees. School Board Chairman Dr. Crystal Ball O’Connor, Lisa Wells, and Glenda Morrison-Fair presented the gift card to VanDommelen at her school.
The survey sought input from GCS teachers on issues related to classroom environment and teacher effectiveness, satisfaction, and retention. While responses were kept confidential, one respondent was randomly selected to receive a gift card. Thank you to the many teachers that provided input to help us make improvements in the teaching environment.
