The Monaview Magic Initiative (MMI) Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) program is  currently closed due to school closings. Our program next year will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2020 and run until Thursday, May 6, 2021.

Monaview Magic Initiative (MMI) Program Overview
The MMI serves 100 Monaview students in grades K5-5th for 30 weeks during the school year. We offer morning clubs from 7:15-7:45 a.m. Monday-Thursday and afternoon MMI hours are Monday-Thursday from 2:20-5:35.  Bus transportation is offered for students who need it.

Students enrolled in the MMI program receive academic instruction in both large and small groups from MES teachers in math and reading. Other components of the program are:  homework help/organizational skills, Computer Based Learning, art, P.E. music, STEM activities, drama and service learning. Through collaborations with MMI community partners, MMI students  also participate in activities that promote social, emotional growth and overall health/wellness. MMI Family Night events are also offered that provide both education and  information on available resources to our families.
