The Mauldin High School administration with input and guidance from teachers, staff, students, PTSA, and SIC has made revisions to the school dress code policy for the 2018-2019 school year. We believe that these changes allow for a more inclusive policy while clarifying expectations and consequences for violations. We encourage students and parents to fully review the policy in advance of the beginning of the school year shopping season.
In an effort to better serve our students, the Mauldin High School Counseling Department is re-organizing and changing students’ counselor assignments. Each counselor will work with one portion of the alphabet for students in grades 9 through 12. This way students will keep the same counselor for all four years while in high school in an effort to get to know students and parents better. Visit the Counseling Department webpage to see the new counselor assignments effective July 1, 2018.
Information and forms regarding Junior and Senior parking permits can be found on the Student Parking webpage.
Sophomore Parking Passes
If any junior or senior parking passes remain unsold, a lottery will be held for a limited number of sophomore passes. The lottery will open on September 17th with the drawing to be held on October 1st. When the lottery window opens, in addition to the requirements expected of juniors and seniors, sophomores must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher and must have a clean discipline record (no more than two (2) minor referrals and zero (0) major referrals). Please understand that this is contingent upon available passes and based on prior history, the number of passes will be extremely limited.
AP Literature and Composition students should refer to Mrs. Tingom's website for required summer assignments.
Kick back and read! Books can be checked out from the MHS Media Center for the entire summer and will be due on August 20th, the first day of school.
Pick up your Summer Reading Bingo card in the media center or on the school website. Read three books and score a BINGO! All BINGO winners will receive an invitation to our celebration with food, games and prizes!
Deadline to turn in your bingo card to the library is Friday, September 7th.
AP Language & Composition students can find their summer reading materials on Ms. Phillips' website. All questions and concerns should be addressed to Ms. Phillips.
