GCS Job Fair

HR Operations will host a job fair on next Thursday, February 21, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Enoree Career Center, 108 Scalybark Road, Greenville, SC. All three hourly work groups (Bus Drivers/Aides, Custodian and Food Service) will be represented.

Class of 2019 Valedictorian and Salutatorian Announced

Congratulations to Stephen Nguyen, Class of 2019 Valedictorian. Stephen is choosing between Clemson and Stanford, where he will major in Biology for a track in Pre-Medicine.

Congratulations to Abigail Druckenmiller, Class of 2019 Salutatorian. Abigail is choosing between USC and Belmont, where she will major in English and/or Publishing.

Blood Drive

Our annual MHS Blood Drive will be held on Friday, March 8th. Donating blood helps save lives! Donors will receive a $10 Chick-fil-a Gift Card, a T-shirt, and a Bojangles Biscuit.

Students: Before you sign up, get approval from your teacher if you will be donating during their class period. You are responsible for any missed work.

Students must be 16 years or older to donate. If 16 years old, students will need to come by the Media Center or Front Office to pick up a parental consent form. Students who are 17 or older do not have to fill out this form.

Early College

Mauldin HS takes the lead with Early College/Dual Credit! 101 seniors out of 533 earned college credit in ENG 101 and EDU 111 last semester through Greenville Technical College & Anderson University. We will continue to offer college classes on our campus next year as a satellite location for Greenville Technical College and plan to expand to not only have ENG 101/ENG 102 but also MAT 110 /MAT 111. Here at MHS, we are building better graduates that are indeed college and career ready!

Curriculum Night - February 19

Please join us for Curriculum Night on February 19. Department Chairs will present an overview of curriculum offerings and recommendation guidelines. We will hold two separate presentations in the MHS Auditorium, as follows:

Rising 10th, 11th, 12th Grade Presentation
Time: 6:30 PM - 7:15 PM
Both parents and students are invited to attend.

Rising 9th Grade Presentation
Time: 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM
General Session - Parents and Students
Breakout Session - Our PTSA will sponsor a unique Breakout Session for rising 9th Graders. Students will leave the general session and participate in a Scavenger Hunt so they can become familiar with the school. Prizes will be awarded and refreshments will be served! Come and experience what Mauldin High School has to offer!

Prom 2019

Senior Prom 2019 will be April 27th. If you plan on bringing a date that is NOT a current MHS student, you must complete a guest approval form. The form can be downloaded here or picked up from Mrs. Wade in the office. These are due back to the office no later than April 5th.

Free Swamp Rabbit Tickets

The Swamp Rabbits are hosting a Mauldin High School and Marvel Comics Night with a Post Game Skate on Sunday, February 17th at 3:00 PM. Mauldin faculty, staff, students, and families can receive free tickets.

Sadie Hawkins Dance

The Sadie Hawkins Dance will be held Saturday, February 23 from 7-10 in the new gym. Cost is $10. Students must have a student ID to get in.

MES/MMS 5K

Come Run Wild with the Mustangs and the Eagles at this family-friendly event! This walk/run benefits the Mauldin Elementary School Mighty Eagles and the Mauldin Middle School Mustangs. This is an event for all ages, all abilities! Walkers, runners, strollers... we welcome you all!

For those who are into competition, the race is accurately measured and professionally-timed. The run/walk will start and finish at MES and will be run on a 5k (3.1 mile) road course that utilizes a bit of both MES and MMS, too! Custom award medals for top overall male and female and top three places in each age group. Age groups are 0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-up.

Seat Time Recovery

Seat Time Recovery in February will be held on the 5th, 7th, 12th, and 21st from 4-7pm in the Media Center. The cost is $10 and must be paid to Mrs. Yanity in the front office before 1:00 on the day that you plan to attend.

9th Grade Curriculum Night

Attention all rising 9th graders- please join us for Curriculum Night on February 19th 7:30-8:30pm to learn more about class registration and the different academic opportunities offered at Mauldin High School

GCS GATE Program

Currently, Greenville County Schools is seeking candidates who are interested in teaching math, science, French, or Spanish to middle or high school students. For consideration of the Greenville Alternative Teacher Education (GATE) program, candidates must have a bachelor's degree or higher with a major or emphasis in the teaching area of interest.

The GATE program is a three-year district-based, job-embedded, alternative certification program and is the first of its kind in South Carolina. GATE provides authentic teaching experiences with supportive mentoring and coaching. Applications will be accepted beginning Tuesday, January 8. Sophomore Parking 2019-2020

Due to lack of availability starting Fall 2019, we will no longer be able to accept sophomore student drivers - no sophomore parking spots will be sold next year. Parents, please plan accordingly.
