eLearning will resume on March 24 and continue through April 30. Spring Break holiday (April 10 - 19) will be observed as scheduled, with eLearning resuming on April 20.
Students will need to complete all assignments. If the student does not have internet access, all work will be due within five days of returning to school.
Questions regarding specific eLearning assignments should be directed to appropriate teachers.
If your student is being served with an IEP, special educators are available for assistance. Case managers are sending out information through Google Classroom. They will also be reaching out each school day to the individual students offering assistance.
In an effort to provide streamlined access to Mauldin High School's counseling and support resources, counselors created an eLearning website. Features of this site include: virtual IGP information, registration process instructions, grade-level tasks and assignments, social/emotional resources, crisis management support, and more. Quarter 3 report cards will be available 3/27. Parents should check backpack (formerly Portal) in lieu of a traditional report card.
Beginning Monday (3/23), students may deliver broken Chromebooks to the nearest Career Center (Golden Strip for MHS students) between 7:30-5:30 Monday -Thursday. Staff at those locations will swap out the defective device for a refurbished device. Teachers and students should call into HELPDESK (355-4357) for technical assistance.
We have received several questions regarding our Prom, which is scheduled for Saturday, May 2nd. The district is closely monitoring the executive order from Governor McMaster and how that order may impact our ability to hold the Prom. The Mauldin High School Prom Committee has made the decision not to cancel Prom at this time in the hopes that some of the current restrictions from the executive order are relaxed before May 2nd. We will notify you immediately if we get additional information. We will make a final decision about Prom no later than Monday, April 20th, to help you with your planning.

Beginning THURSDAY (3/19), meal handouts will take place from 10 a.m. – noon, and will give everyone 18 years of age and younger (and special needs adults up to age 21) a free lunch plus breakfast for the next day. This will eliminate morning meal pick up and require only one trip per day. Per USDA regulations, children must be present to receive the meals. MSH is a district-approved pick-up site. We will continue to notify you if additional adjustments are made.
The South Carolina High School League has extended athletic restrictions through April 5th. No games, practice, or conditioning.
Charter Spectrum is providing free broadband and Wi-Fi access for 60 days to households with K-12 students and/or college students who do not already have a Spectrum broadband subscription at any service level up to 100 Mbps. Call 1-844-488-8395 to enroll; installation fees will be waived for new student households. The program applies only in existing Charter service areas. Households should be clear on the terms of service before entering into an agreement with the provider (Spectrum) to be aware of the point at which charges will be assessed. At this time, Spectrum is stating that regular rates will apply after the initial 60 days. This program is in addition to an existing low-cost Internet program offered by Spectrum. Per the orders of Governor McMaster, MHS and all GCS schools will be closed through April 30. All after school events scheduled for this time are also canceled. We understand there are many questions regarding this unprecedented situation. As more information becomes available, we will post updates here. Please be patient and check back for updates.

Senior Students: 2020 Prom Guest approval forms are available online or you can pick up a copy in the office with Mrs. Wade. Any student who wishes to bring a guest who is not a current MHS student must complete the guest approval form. Students should take note of several important changes to the form. Forms are due no later than April 20, 2020.
