Physical Education Department Information

The Physical Education Department at Greenville Senior High School offers Physical Education I.  This course is a state required course for Graduation. 

Our program also has elective courses that are offered after students have successfully completed Physical Education I.  These courses include: Weightlifting, Leisure Sports, Team Sport I and II.  

The Physical Education Program is student centered; designed to allow each student the opportunity to develop the knowledge and the skills necessary to maintain a physically active and healthy lifestyle, and to meet the state standards required for Physical Education I.

Physical Education II & Physical Education III

Physical Education II & PE III courses are electives. Each student has several classes they can choose to take to further develop their knowledge and skills in health, fitness, sports and driver training. The choices are Aerobic/Dancercise, Basketball, Football, Softball, Baseball, and Weight Training. PE I must be completed before electing a PE II course. Health courses offered are Personal Health for one quarter and Community Health and Safety (CPR and First Aid Certification) for another quarter. Drivers Education is also offered as a quarter course.
