About GCS Summer Institute

UTC + Summer Academy = Summer Institute 2018

Greenville County Schools’ Summer Institute is an ideal opportunity for educators at all levels to network, learn, grow, and share their passion for teaching and learning. This unique professional development event combines the highly successful Upstate Technology Conference for educators from around the southeast and Summer Academy for Greenville County Schools’ teachers and administrators.

Join us as we kick off the Institute with the Upstate Technology Conference July 10-11, 2018.  In addition to inspiring keynote speakers and the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from around the state, this year’s conference will feature over 250 break-out sessions highlighting the best of technology tools and strategies in today’s classroom.  This free conference is open to all educators, but register early because attendance is limited.

Following the Upstate Technology Conference, educators from Greenville County Schools are invited to attend Summer Academy, July 23-26, 2018 where they will be given the opportunity to enrich and extend their skills in a variety of two to six hour sessions.  Based on the five academic priorities of Greenville County Schools, each session is designed for educators to gain new techniques, sharpen their skills, and learn from innovative practitioners.

If you are ready to share or rekindle your passion for teaching and learning, you don’t want to miss Summer Institute!

Summer Institute is sponsored by the Professional Development and Instructional Technology departments of Greenville County Schools.
