Express to Tiger Town

In addition to the traditional student scholarships the Foundation gives every year, we will be focusing on addressing the teacher shortage by funding scholarships for students enrolled  in our Expressway to Tiger Town program.  Expressway to Tigertown is a flagship program in which students can earn college credit starting in the 10th grade, attend Greenville Tech at a reduced cost, and  ultimately graduate from Clemson with little or no student debt.  Greenville County Schools has partnered with Greenville Tech and Clemson University in order to encourage more students to join the teaching profession.  By funding Clemson scholarships for teacher cadets enrolled in our dual credit program, you will become part of the solution! This is a critical mission we are very passionate about!  As you may know, our teacher pipeline is dwindling, and COVID19 did not help.  Teachers are retiring all over the state and yet potential  teachers choose other careers because they cannot afford student debt. Please consider funding Expressway to Tiger Town scholarships? We would love to have you join us at our annual Scholarship Golf Tournament October 18th and 19th, and our Annual Hall of Fame Gala November 18, 2021, during which we recognize distinguished graduates of Greenville County schools and outstanding employees.   Donations at any level  would be much appreciated and deployed for a great cause. The Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) and donations are fully tax deductible.  If you have a donor-advised fund, the Foundation's  EIN is  24-0471771.  You can also donate appreciated stock or mail a check to The Greenville County Schools Foundation, 301 E. Camperdown Way, Greenville, SC 29601.  Please write "Expressway to Tiger Town" on the check.. Please take two minutes to watch this video to learn more about this innovative program we hope will be replicated throughout the country
