Laying the Foundation for Future Success!

February always makes me think of relationships and here at the Child Development Center’s we work diligently to help our children develop the skills necessary to create healthy relationships.  As part of that, we also work to develop caring and productive relationships with them, you, and outside organizations.  This month I would like to showcase some of the community relationships that we have and the positive impact they have for you and your child.

Greenville First Steps

Greenville First Steps is a non-profit organization that supports early childhood programs to improve school readiness for Greenville Country children.  Greenville First Steps brings us the Palmetto Basics that we have been discussing all year with you, provides free books to our teachers and students, as well as provides the funding for each of our six centers to have the South Carolina Children’s Theatre perform story dramas and for us to visit the Children’s Museum of the Upstate.

The Children’s Museum of the Upstate

This year the Greenville Children’s Museum, located on College Street in downtown Greenville, partnered with us to provide free admission to all 4-year olds at the Child Development Centers in Greenville County so our children could attend a field trip in the fall.  They will also be coming to each of our centers three different times this year to bring engaging activities that allow all our children to experience new ways to learn and play. We will continue to share special events happening at the museum that could be beneficial to you and your child/ren.
