Title I Parent Needs Assessment Survey

Berea Middle School is allocated federal Title I funds to help provide much needed services to the children here at Berea Middle.  The services provided include reduced class sizes, technology, and specialized educational programs.  The aim of the Title I plan is to provide the best educational opportunities for every child to reach his/her potential and to make academic gains.  As part of the Title I program, Title I Staff are required to conduct a needs assessment of the current Title I plan and to request suggestions for improvements from parents and community members.   Our charge is to set goals based upon areas of needs and weaknesses as supported by the data.  A survey has been distributed which asks for suggestions and input from the parents.  Included as part of the survey are 2013 SC Annual School Report Card Summary data.  These data show how Berea Middle School performs in relation to schools like ours.  Parents are asked to complete and return the survey to Title I Office by December 13, 2013.  If you did not receive a copy of the survey, you may click here for one.  This link includes an English and Spanish version of the survey.  In addition, parents and community members are asked to join us at our Title I planning meeting on Monday, January 13, 2014, at 5:30 p.m.  The meeting will be held in the Media Center and supper will be served.
