Mauldin Girls Tennis Coach Laura Gurley Receives Starfish Award

Mauldin High girls tennis coach Laura Gurley was recognized with the Starfish Award by the USTA Southern High School Subcommittee.  The award recognizes coaches who implement a No-Cut policy and serve as a positive role model with young tennis players.  The No-Cut philosophy helps grow the sport of tennis in the Southeast and provides young athletes with opportunities to grow in the sport.  Coach Gurley regularly fills both a Varsity and full Junior Varsity program for Mauldin athletics.  the USTA Southern High School Subcommittee represents young tennis players in nine states across the Southeast.
