Brackets are set for the 2018 SCHSL Baseball Playoffs.  Eleven GCS teams will battle for a shot at the title starting Tuesday, April 24th (weather permitting).  In Class AAAA Eastside, Greer and Greenville all drew home games in the opening round of their pool play.  Greenville opens with Travelers Rest in District 3.  The winner advances to face the winner of South Point and Aiken.  Greer will host BHP in District 4, where the winner will face either Airport or Westwood.  Eastside won Region II-AAAA and will host Pickens in District 2, where they are joined by South Aiken and Richland Northeast.  In District 1, Blue Ridge will be on the road at top seeded Wren.  York and Midland Valley will join them in pool play.

As a reminder, SCHSL District Baseball Tournaments are double elimination brackets making up a seven game (if needed) series.  Each bracket is made up of a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place finisher from Regions I-IV in the Upstate.

In Class AAAAA, JL Mann is the top seed out of Region 1 and will host Spartanburg in District 1.  The winner will face the winner of Mauldin hosting Nation Ford.  Riverside is the 1-seed in District 4, having won the region title in Region-II.  The Warriors are joined by Rock Hill, whom they will host, Easley and Gaffney.  Hillcrest will travel to Northwestern in District 3.  They will be joined in 3 by Boiling Springs and TL Hanna.  In District 2, Woodmont will be on the road at top seeded Dorman.  Winner faces winner of Fort Mill and Greenwood.

Berea is the only GCS team to make the playoffs in Class AAA.  They will travel to Indian Land for their opening game.

The baseball playoffs are scheduled to start on April 24th.  Opening round is slated for the 24th, 26th, 28th and 30th of April.  The Upper State tournament will feature the winner of each district and will begin on May 3rd.  The state championships are slated to begin May 12th.
