2nd Round SCHSL Basketball Playoffs

Fourteen GCS teams were able to survive and advance to the 2nd round of the SCHSL basketball playoffs.  Greenville, Greer, Travelers Rest and Wade Hampton have both the girls and boys basketball teams still chasing a title.  Woodmont and Hillcrest girls will square off for the third time this season, Woodmont has won the previous two meetings.  Riverside boys won their first home playoff game since 1998 and their reward is a second straight home game vs Boiling Springs, a 4-seed who already has an upset in this tournament.  Southside boys opened their AAA title defense, cruising to a 30 point victory in round 1.  The Eastside boys and Travelers Rest girls both went on the road as 3-seeds and got a win.  And the Berea girls hosted Seneca last night, their playoff journey coming to an end in a heartbreaking two point loss.
