I am excited to be a part of the success of our students at Armstrong Elementary School(AES). In 2002, I graduated from Greenville Technical College with an Associate of Art Degree. I graduated in 2004 from the University of South Carolina with a Major in Elementary Education and a Minor in Psychology. In 2013, I received a Master’s Degree in Leadership from Gardner-Webb University.
“The Giving Tree” by Shel Silverstein is my favorite children’s book and “A Prayer for Owen Meany” by John Irving is my favorite adult book. Both books share a theme of sacrifice, motivation and empowerment. As the administrative assistant at Armstrong, I promise to model the act of kindness; help motivate; and strive to empower our students and staff. It is my belief, that all children are born with the potential for greatness and when nurtured to have a positive mindset, children are capable of reaching their full potential.
At AES our mission is to build an integral community of successful citizens by empowering all stakeholders, promoting and celebrating student achievement, while developing positive relationships throughout Greenville. As the administrative assistant, I will work to support students both academically, socially, and emotionally. I believe in the potential of each student, and realize we are not just preparing them for the next grade, but for the future.
