Dear Augusta Circle family and friends,
Welcome to another school year! My name is Jennifer Holman and I am the new Administrative Assistant. I firmly believe in our school’s mission “to provide a quality educational environment, in cooperation with the home and the community, which fosters learning and prepares students for life-long learning and for ethical, productive participation in our democratic, multicultural, and global society.” I look forward to working with each of you, our students, parents, faculty, and stakeholders, to make this another successful year. Please contact me anytime with any ideas, questions, or concerns you may have.
Since I am new to ACE, I would like to share a little about myself. I recently moved to Greenville after accepting this position. This is my 11th year in education. I have previously taught 2nd grade, 5th grade, and was also a curriculum/reading coach. I have my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Columbia College, my masters degree in Divergent Learning from Columbia College, and a second masters degree in Educational Leadership from Coastal Carolina University. I moved here with my husband, our two daughters, Adeline and Nora. We also have two dogs and a cat. I will forever be a Carolina Gamecock fan! I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, baking, and running. And I love all things chocolate! That is a little about me; I am excited to get to know each of our students this year.
I will leave you with two of my favorite quotes:
“Every morning you have a choice. Are you going to be a positive thinker or a negative thinker? Positive thinking will energize you.” -Jon Gordon
To me, this is key. We are all in control of ourselves. I strive to be happy and positive each day so that I can be productive while enjoying life.
“America’s future will be determined by the home and the school. The child becomes largely what he is taught; hence we must watch what we teach and how we live.” -Abigail Adams
Working together with the home and school will make all the difference in the lives of our children. They are the next generation and we must do all that we can to prepare them for the future. Thank you for giving us your best; we will do all that we can to prepare them to be their best!
