Jeff Cochran was elected to serve as Area 28 Trustee in 2022. He served as a mathematics teacher and coach at Battery Creek High School in Beaufort County for 18 years and as a teacher at Wade Hampton High School in Greenville County for 13 years before retiring in 2019. He was honored as Battery Creek High School’s Teacher of the Year in 2000.
Mr. Cochran grew up in Virginia and graduated from University of Virginia’s College at Wise. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Secondary Educational Leadership from Clemson University. He has served as a Deacon at his church, where he remains very active. He lives in Simpsonville with his wife and son.
