Whitney Hanna serves as Executive Director of Strategic Communications and Engagement. She previously served as the district’s Coordinator of Community Collaboration and Institutional Advancement. Mrs. Hanna brings a strong background in marketing and communications through her work experience at ScanSource, NAI Earle Furman, Erwin Penland, and DNA Creative Communications. In 2013, Mrs. Hanna became the youngest President of the American Advertising Federation (AAF) of Greenville in the history of the organization at that time and was recognized as a National AAF President of the Year. She currently serves on the Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County Board of Directors and previously served on various community boards and committees including the Upcountry History Museum Board of Directors, Duke Energy Advisory Board, OnTrack Steering Committee, and the Greenville Mentoring Collaborative Board of Directors. A Past Chair of the Leadership Greenville Advisory Committee, she is a graduate of Leadership Greenville Class 41 and Leadership South Carolina Class of 2017. She was recognized as Best and Brightest 35 and Under by Greenville Business Magazine. Mrs. Hanna earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communications with a major in Public Relations from the University of South Carolina.
