Dr. Scott Turner

Dr. Scott Turner assumed the role of Deputy Superintendent for Greenville County Schools in 2019. He began his teaching career in 1987 at Boiling Springs High School, and later served as an assistant principal and principal before being named superintendent of Spartanburg District Five. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from Wofford College, and a Master’s degree and Educational Specialist degree from Converse College. Turner earned his doctorate of Education from South Carolina State. He is a past president of the South Carolina Association of School Administrators (SCASA) and the SCASA Superintendent’s Division.
