Whitney Hanna serves as Executive Director of Strategic Communications and Engagement. She previously served as the district’s Coordinator of Community Collaboration and Institutional Advancement. Mrs. Hanna brings a strong background in marketing and communications through her work experience at ScanSource (Marketing Account Team Manager), NAI Earle Furman (Marketing and Research Specialist), Erwin Penland (Senior Account Executive), and DNA Creative Communications (Account Executive and Public Relations Coordinator). In 2013, Mrs. Hanna became the youngest President of the American Advertising Federation (AAF) of Greenville in the history of the organization at that time. She was also recognized as a National AAF President of the Year. She serves on the Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County Board of Directors, the Upcountry History Museum Board of Directors, Duke Energy Advisory Board, OnTrack Steering Committee, and the Greenville Mentoring Collaborative Board of Directors. Mrs. Hanna is a graduate of Leadership Greenville Class 41 and Leadership South Carolina Class of 2017, and she was recognized as Best and Brightest 35 and Under by Greenville Business Magazine. Mrs. Hanna earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communications with a major in Public Relations from the University of South Carolina.
