Mr. Roger Meek is presently serving his seventh four-year term on the Greenville County Board of Trustees, representing Area 26. He is President and CEO of the Bramlett Insurance Agency, located in Greenville, SC. He earned an Associate’s Degree from the University of Kentucky and a Bachelor’s Degree from Morehead State University in 1975.
Mr. Meek has served in many roles while on the School Board. He has served as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Greenville County on five different occasions along with serving as a member of many committees of the Board, including as a Board Member for Greenville Technical College, Communities in Schools, and the South Carolina School Boards Association.
During his professional career, Mr. Meek served in several offices, including the Presidency, with the South Carolina Association of Auto Insurance Agents. He also served as a member of the South Carolina Reinsurance Facility Board of Governors from 2001 through 2007.
Mr. Meek has served his community by being a member and officer in local PTAs, School Improvement Councils, and Booster Clubs. He has been recognized by his community on numerous occasions, including being named by the Berea Lions Club as their 1998 "Citizen of the Year."
Mr. Meek was honored to have served his country in the United States Army from January 1968 through August 1970, which included two tours in Vietnam.
Roger and his wife, Sue, have two children. Both of his children graduated from Greenville County Schools. He also has three grandchildren, two of whom are currently attending Greenville County Schools.
