Darryl Nance named 2011 Coach of the Year
Congratulations to Darryl Nance for being named the 2011 Coach of the Year by the NFHS Coaches Association at the state level in the sport of Boys Basketball. The NFHS Coaches Association is the official national coaches association of the National Federation of State High School Associations(NFHS). The NFHS recognizes coaches at the state, sectional, and national level.

After School Tutoring
After School Tutoring is now available at WHHS. Tutoring is free to all students. Tutoring sessions are available for all courses (and levels). Bus transportation home is provided. Click HERE for more information.

Financial Aid Nights
Greenville County Schools will sponsor four separate Financial Aid Nights for our students and families. This year's workshops will meet the following schedule: Travelers Rest High - February 2, JL Mann High Academy - February 9, Greenville Sr. High Academy - February 16, and Woodmont High - February 23. Each meeting will begin at 6:30pm. All workshops are open to the public regardless of home school or area. Work one-on-one with Counselors and College Financial Aid experts. All workshops cover the same material. Find out about Grants, Work Study Plans, Loan Availability, Application Requirements, and Sirrine Scholarships. Call 355 - 3391 or 355 - 3392 for details.

Alive at 25
Alive at 25 is a survival course developed by the National Safety Council. It is designed to prevent the #1 killer of teens, automobile crashes. SC Alive is taught by off-duty Deputy Sheriffs, Municipal Police Officers and SC Highway Patrol Officers. The course is delivered in one 4.5 hour program which focuses on the behaviors, decision-making and risks facing young drivers every time they get behind the wheel. Click HERE for more information.

FAFSA Lab Nights
Seniors & Parents of Seniors: Please click on the following link to sign up for one of our FAFSA Lab Nights (January 12th & February 9th). All students planning to attend college (community, technical, or traditional) must complete the FAFSA to determine their eligibility for financial aid (scholarships, grants, & loans). Free access to ACT, PSAT,SAT, AP Exam Reviews
The Office of eLearning in the Division of School of Effectiveness is pleased to offer free access to ACT, PSAT,SAT, and AP Exam Reviews for any South Carolina student who wishes to prepare for one or more of these exams during the 2011 - 2012 school year. Click HERE for more information.

Wade Hampton exceeds Eastside Week Goal!
Congratulations to the Wade Hampton High School Student Council, Mrs. Brooks, Student Body, Faculty & Staff and our entire Wade Hampton High School Community for exceeding our Eastside Week Goal of $210,000! The total for the week was an astounding $211,759.12 to go to Pendleton Place Children's Shelter. It was a great week for all, and the benefits of the week will be recognized for years to come.

Credit Recovery Classes offered at WHHS
Credit Recovery classes will be offered at WHHS beginning September 12. Credit Recovery is available for most of the core academic subjects.Students must complete an application to register.Click HERE for more information.

New Online Meal Prepayment System Available
A new online meal prepayment system is now available. This sytem will allow parents to make deposits into your student's school meal accounts. Click HERE to register using the "Start Here" link on the right side of the page.
