Title I Information

Can you believe it is already time to begin planning for next year’s Title 1 program?  Your input is very important to us in planning the use of Title 1 funds.  This year’s funds were used to hire teachers to make classes smaller and provide extra help in Reading, computers, and materials to help with Reading and Math.  Parent trainings, food for family nights and training sessions, and materials were also funded.  Professional development for teachers was offered by Clemson University.

Parent surveys will be coming home with report cards on January 19^th.  It is important that we hear from you on many important issues.  Please complete the survey and return it as soon as possible.  Please feel free to make suggestions and comments.  We want to design the best educational program possible for your child. 

A Title 1 Planning Meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 24 at 3:00 p.m.  Parents are encouraged to attend as you are a valuable part of this process.  We welcome your comments and look forward to hearing from you soon.

"The staff at Westcliffe Elementary responds to all written and oral parent concerns, problems, recommendations, or commendations related to the Title I school program within 24 hours or by the next school day, whichever comes first. If needed or requested, school officials also inform parents or other interested parties of the issue's disposition. All issues related to Title I compliance submitted by parents or other interested parties are filed with the principal and with the Federal Programs Office."
