About Us
Below is the
layout of our school building!
 The new Westcliffe Elementary was
built for 650 students, grades kindergarten through fifth grade at a cost of
$6.46 million. The 64,233 square foot building has 13 regular classrooms, 2
kindergarten classrooms, 2 self-contained classrooms and 3 classrooms for
itinerant teachers. Also, space is provided for music, art, and and building
support facilities.
There is a 1,024 sq. ft. science lab with preparation/storage room. The
computer room is 800 sq. ft. providing 32 workstations. The new Media Center
has a reading room, office/workroom, and access to the computer room.
Administration houses office for the principal, assistant principal,
secretary and attendance clerk. A conference room, health room, and guidance
office are also part of this area.
Physical education utilizes the 3,456 sq. ft. multi-purpose room as a
small gym. The cafetorium, with stage, seats 150 for lunch and 365 for
assemblies and special programs.

Driving Directions
I-385 NORTH (DOWNTOWN): Take I-385 N into Downtown
Greenville. Go through downtown and bear to the left onto Hwy 183 (Old
Buncombe Road). Stay on Hwy 183 to Hwy 253 (Blue Ridge Drive) and turn
left. Continue on Hwy 253 about 2 miles. Turn right onto White Horse Road
(Hwy 25). Follow to the light at Little Caesar's Pizza and turn left onto
Eastborne Road. School will be on the left.
WHITE HORSE ROAD: Take White Horse Road to the light at Little Caesar's
Pizza. If headed south, turn left at Little Caesar's. If headed north,
turn right at Little Caesar's. Turn onto Eastbourne Road. School will be on
the left.
I-85 SOUTH: Take I-85 S to the White Horse Road (Hwy 25) exit. Turn right
onto White Horse Road and follow north past HWY 253. Follow to the light
at Little Caesar's Pizza and turn left onto Eastbourne Road. School will be
on the left.
TRAVELERS REST: Take Hwy 276 South and turn right onto Hwy 25 (Duncan
Road-White Horse Road). Continue south past Hwy 183 (Farr's Bridge Road).
Follow to the light at Little Caesar's Pizza and turn right onto Eastbourne
Road. School will be on the left.

vision of Westcliffe Elementary School includes an environment that
is inviting and conducive to learning. The curriculum is consistent,
based on research, and aligned to standards that encourage our students to
be life-long learners. Teachers provide quality, challenging,
child-centered instruction that meets the needs of our students. Student progress
is assessed through formal and informal evaluations, which serve as diagnostic tools enabling us to determine and meet individual needs.
