About Mrs. Shoun

This is my fifth year as a science teacher at Southside High School. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Food Science from Rutger's University and a Master's Degree in Food Science from North Carolina State University. I worked as a Food Engineer at a food packaging company for five years before becoming a teacher.

I became interested in Science when I was a track runner in high school. Now I enjoy camping, hiking, walking my dog, and gardening. I enjoy all things outdoors.

Last year I attended the International Science Fair with two Southside students. I look forward to working with you on your Science Fair projects this year. I am also the Academic Team Coach.

I love to find out how and why things work. Students, be curious about the world around you. Look around, see and ask why!
