The Southside HS Air Force Junior ROTC program will hold it’s annual JROTC Open House on September 13, 2007 from 6:30 p.m. to approximately 8:00 p.m. in the school auditorium. The purpose of this open house is to welcome you and introduce you to the criteria and goals of the AFJROTC program here at Southside. You will also hear about the curriculum that your student must complete for the AFJROTC program. This curriculum includes academics, drill, physical training, and uniform wear. ROTC also offers extra-curricular activities and participates in service projects that you will also hear about. You will learn that this is a cadet (student) driven program. You will meet the instructors of the program as well as the cadet staff who manage our program. This is an exciting and very informative event that will allow you, as parents of our cadets, to see the program first hand. Please call us at 355-8764 if you have any questions.
