Things I need to know in order to be successful in art:life

1. "Reasons or Results"
2. "if you have nothing to do, don't do it here!"
3. Put things back where you got them. "Your mother does not work here, so please pick up after yourself."
4. "Be kind. Remember everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle."
5. "Think for yourself! Demonstrate your own reasoning skills."
6. "Take your art class seriously!"
7. "Make life simple. It is not necessary to complicate matters. Life is already difficult."
8. "Do something beautiful for yourself. Take an art class."
9. "Flatter me, and I may not believe you. Criticize me, and I may not forgive you. Encourage me, and I will not forget you."
10. "They may forget what you said---but they will never forget how you made them feel."
11. "Where did we ever get the crazy idea that in order to make children do better, first we have to make them feel worse?"
12. No "thumping" pencils or hands on the tables.
13. Art at times can be a slow process. Do not rush your art!
14. Come to class ready to work, participate in all class activities, maintain a great attitude, and demonstrte the appropriate behaviors.
15. Refrain from any loud talking or outbursts!
16. Do not push or move any of the tables or chairs and stay at your assigned seating area.
