Introduction
PIGS!
Where does an Eskimo pig live? In a pigloo.
 
Do you want to write pig riddles too? After working this web quest you will write your own pig riddles from the information that you have learned.

Task

Listen as the teacher and students read books about pigs.

Learn a finger play about pigs.

Cook up some pigs in a blanket with the
class.

Write pig riddles.

Resources

Don’t be caught rolling in the mud.

The Joy of Pigs Visit this site and write three interesting facts that you find here.
Pig Stories Write a story about one of the pig pictures.
This Little Piggie Pick the coloring sheet that you want and print it. Then color the sheet.

Process

1. The teacher and students will read a selection of
The Three Little Pigs books, Five Little Piggies, Piggins,
Pigs, and How to be a Practically Perfect Pig to set the
stage about pigs.

2. You will choose from the websites and complete two
of the activities.

3. You will learn and recite the finger play “This Little
Piggy Went to Market”.

4. You will make a “pig in a blanket” then the teacher
will cook it.

5. You will make up two pig riddles.

Evaluation

You will be evaluated in four different areas.

1. Cooperation and Participation
2. Website Activities
3. Finger play – “This Little Piggy Went to the Market”
4. Two Pig Riddles
