button   Welcome! Spanish I is a year long course that is offered to 8th grade students for high school credit. In Spanish I students learn basic speaking, writing, listening, and reading skills. By the end of this course, students will be able to: hold short conversations, write complete sentences and paragraphs on familiar topics, and demonstrate understanding of learned material from oral or written texts.

Materials needed for Spanish I Students:
Three Ring Binder ~ un cuaderno de tres anillos
Paper ~ papel
Pencils ~ lapices
Markers or colored pencils (optional)


Classroom Expectations:

1.) Be Responsible
2.) Be Prepared
3.) Be Respectful
4.) Be Gum-Free

Consequences:

1.) Verbal Warning
2.) Lunch Detention
3.) Team Detention
4.) Referral

Grading:

1. All homework, class participation assignments, quizzes, tests and project grades are averaged into one final grade.

2. Re-take tests and make-up work are offered and must be taken before the end of the nine weeks. Students will be told the due date for make-up assignments.

Grading Scale:
93 - 100 A
92 - 85 B
84 - 77 C
76 - 70 D
