ORDERING LETTERMEN JACKETS

Lettermen jackets can be ordered at First Team Sports on 2520 Wade Hampton Boulevard, Greenville (268-6227 or http://www.firstteamsc.com/page.home) at any time.

The jackets cost $110.99, name embroidery is $7.00, sewing the varsity letter on is $2.00, and $3.50 per letter for name on back. Anything else is extra.

Woodmont Athletes Serving our Community Schools

Giving back to the community we serve is very important to our Woodmont student-athletes. Opening car doors and walking children to classrooms at feeder elementary schools not only helps our athletes remember their roots, but also shows the youth in our community that we care about them. We are proud of our community and want to give back.

Woodmont Boys’ Swimming Wins First Region 1-4A Championship

Prior to the opening kickoff against Wren, Mr. Imperati presented the 2011 Boys’ Swim Team with their Region 1-4A Banner. Not only are they quality swimmers but also scholar athletes! Our Boys' Team averages a 4.45 GPA and our second place girls’ team averaged a 4.03 GPA.

Ryan Rich, Cameron Lindsey, and Adam Alnatour received First Team All Region Honors. Second Team All Region Honors were earned by Ryan Dewald, Joseph Southwell, Grant Anderson, Rusty Hawes, Hunter Reynolds, and Connor Lindsey.

Several members of the Boy's Swim Team competed in the Class 4A State Finals held in Columbia on Saturday, October 8, 2011. Eighth grader, Casey Wilson, also competed in the 500 yard freestyle event. The Boy's Swim Team finished 18th out of 40 schools. Casey Wilson finished 29th in the Girls 500 Yard Freestyle. Other highlights included:

· Boys 200 Yard Medley Relay finished 11th out of 20 teams

· Boys 200 Yard Free Relay finished 11th out of 20 teams

· Boys 400 Yard Free Relay finished 19th out of 20 teams

· Cameron Lindsey finished 19th in the Boys 50 Yard Freestyle

· Ryan Rich finished 22nd in the Boy's 50 Yard Freestyle

· Ryan Rich finished 9th in the Boys 100 Yard Backstroke

· Cameron Lindsey finished 27th in the Boys 100 Yard Freestyle

· Ryan DeWald finished 37th in the Boys 100 Yard Breaststroke
