Objectives of the PTA
A self-governing unit, Washington Center's PTA plans programs and activities to meet the needs of our children and youth. Membership is open to any person interested in the well being of
our students.
The objectives of the PTA are to promote the welfare of our children in their school and communities and to raise the standards of home, life, care, and protection of our children. Also, bringing home and school closer to foster communication, cooperation, and unify efforts to secure the highest advantages of education are important
priorities of the PTA. Some of the activities the PTA has engaged in recently include
- Playground and therapy equipment provided through fundraisers
- Student and staff birthday recognition
- Funding Community Based Excursion
opportunities for classrooms
- Informational and support opportunities for parents
- Teacher and staff moral boosters provided throughout the year
