USDA allowed schools to offer free meals to all students during the pandemic, but Congress did not extend this benefit for the 2022-2023 school year. Families that are eligible for free or reduced-priced meals must apply to receive them, and all other students must pay full price ($2.50) for their lunches. Breakfast is provided free of charge to all Greenville County students, regardless of their meal status. Hard copies of meal benefit applications are available at your school, and the online application process for free and reduced-price meals is now live and can be accessed here.
