Infusing the Arts into the Curriculum

Sample Lesson Plans by Stone Academy Teachers

The Stone faculty has made the commitment to incorporate the arts into all curriculum areas. Quality instruction is a top priority.  In keeping with this commitment, faculty members participated in two graduate courses for integrating the arts. Stone teachers took part in a graduate course in arts infusion in the 1999-2000 school year. The class was conducted by Roxanna Albury of Lander College. And in the 2002-2002 school year, they attended classes led by Martha Severens of the Greenville County Museum of Art. Teachers developed lesson plans for these classes, and have used them with their students.
