Linda Reynolds, 2011-12 Sterling Teacher of the Year

Linda Reynolds, Charles Townes Center English teacher, is Sterling School's Teacher of the Year (ToY) for 2011-12. She was also chosen as a Top Ten finalist at the district level. Greenville County's ToY is judged on numerous criteria including but not limited to his or her command of subject matter, classroom environment, communication skills, enthusiasm, creativity, and classroom management skills. Mrs. Reynolds received her National Board Certification in Early Adolescence English Language Arts in the fall of 2010 and has served as head of many committees including her current position as English Department Chair here at Sterling and as the 2009-10 President of the Greenville Council Teachers of English. This is Mrs. Reynolds third nomination as teacher of the year; she was also named ToY during her employment at Riverside Middle and J.L. Mann High School.
